Export exactly what you need
Choose the data types, filters and columns, then pick Excel or CSV. Exports run in the background; you get an email when the file is ready (on paid plans) and can download it from the job page.
- Filter products by status, vendor, product type, tag and created date.
- Add product metafield definitions and inventory locations as columns.
- Save the setup as a template and run it again in two clicks.
- Select products in the Shopify admin and choose More actions → Export with Bulkvane.
Imports that tell you what will happen
Every file is checked first. Problems are named by row in plain words, and common mistakes — currency symbols, decimal commas, scientific-notation IDs, tag separators — are fixed or flagged before anything is written.
Rows are matched to products by ID, then Handle; variants by Variant ID, then SKU, then option values. Empty cells leave the store value alone, except in Replace mode.
What you can change
- Create products, or update title, description (Body HTML), vendor, type, tags, status and SEO fields.
- Variant price, compare-at price, SKU and barcode.
- Add images by URL (existing images are kept).
- Product metafields of every common type, checked per type.
- Available stock per location, with a guard that skips stock that changed since the preview (for example after a sale).
Not supported: adding variants to existing products, changing handles, variant metafields and orders.
Can I import Shopify's own product CSV?
Yes. Shopify's native headers such as “Body (HTML)” and “Variant Price” are recognised, so a file exported from Shopify admin imports without renaming columns.
How large can a file be?
Uploads are limited by your plan's items per job (10 on Free, up to unlimited on Pro). Files imported from a link can be up to 20 MB.
Does it work with Google Sheets?
Yes. Share the sheet as “Anyone with the link” and paste the link. You can import one tab or the whole workbook, and run the same link again later.
